Introducing TinyTasks

· 1 min read

Task managers have a way of becoming the task. Workspaces to set up, teammates to invite, plans to compare. Meanwhile, the thing you needed to do is still not done.

TinyTasks is the opposite: open it, write the task down, tick it off. There's no account and nothing to set up.

Jot it down#

Press Q to quick-add a task from anywhere. Give it a name and, if you like, a description, a due date, a priority from P1 to P4, a project, or a few subtasks. Enter saves it.

When it's done, tick it. The tick lands, and the task leaves your list. Changed your mind? Edit it in place, or delete it and press Undo.

Today, and what's next#

TinyTasks sorts your tasks into a few simple views:

  • Inbox: everything that isn't in a project yet.
  • Today: what's due today, with anything overdue above it.
  • Upcoming: what's coming, grouped by day.
  • Completed: what you've already finished.

Add projects for the bigger things, each with its own colour. Move a task between them whenever you like.

Made for the keyboard#

Press / to search across titles, descriptions, and subtasks. Press ⌘K (Ctrl K on Windows) for the command menu: every action, view, and project, and any task by name. On your phone, the add button sits right under your thumb.

Keep a copy#

Your tasks are saved in this browser and nowhere else. Open tabs stay in sync. From Settings, you can export everything as a JSON file and import it into another browser. If you used the earlier TinyTasks list, your to-dos move into the Inbox on their own.
